[11th] I attended the opening ceremony of the 60th Anniversary Midori Ward Kendo Tournament
Last updated on June 18, 2024.
On Sunday, June 16, the opening ceremony of the 60th Anniversary Midori Ward Kudo Tournament hosted by the Midori Ward Kendo Federation (Chairman: Naoto Kojima) was held at the Green Sports Center, which was renewed in April this year. Many swordsmen, including boys and girls, participated, and the content was harsh and powerful, worthy of traditional martial arts. In particular, the Japanese kendo form of Sato 8dan and Takimoto 7dan felt solemn as I saw it and felt so serious that I could breathe.
I had been learning kendo for about two years when I was in elementary school, and I remembered the strict training and tension at that time, and the exhilaration after finishing. I think the concentration, patience, courtesy, and appreciation obtained through kendo are irreplaceable assets for a lifetime.
I hope that this commemorative tournament will be a memorable and wonderful tournament for players, parents and stakeholders, and will continue for another 70 and 80 years.
