31.Izumi Ward New Year's Celebration, New Year's Sagami Kite Flying Party

　
　On January 6, the 2025 Izumi Ward New Year Celebration was held at JA Yokohama Minami Center.
　With about 320 people participating, we celebrated the new year grandly with the residents. At the celebration, Mr. Baba, Chairman of the New Year Celebration Executive Committee, gave a greeting at the beginning of the year, greetings from me and guests, and after the toast, the lion dance of the Nakata Hayashi Preservation Society, Michael Manish Robinson's steel pan performance and baby boomer band J & B were performed, adding flowers to the start of the new year.
　This year, a calm sunny day continued from New Year's Day, but it began to rain before noon on the day, and the annual New Year Sagami kite flying party has been canceled. At the kite flying party, we planned to raise a large kite that wrote the character of "So" selected as one character of this year and a kite created by students of Kamiiida Elementary School, but unfortunately this time it was postponed . However, a large kite with the word "So" made by the members of the Sagami Kite Izumi Preservation Society is on display at the ward hall of the Izumi Ward Office, so please take a look when you come to the ward office I would like you to. (Thank you for making a smart Sagami kite this year.)
　In addition to the charm of Izumi Ward, this year's 40th anniversary of the constituency system, we decided to create a new Izumi Ward style with the residents of the ward. This year, the Izumi Ward Office staff will continue to work hard to create an attractive city that is easy to live inIzumi Ward, and we look forward to your continued understanding and cooperation with Izumi Ward Government.
