[8th] Participated in pet disaster prevention awareness lecture
Saturday, July 4, 2020
Participated in a lecture titled “Pet Countermeasures during Disasters:“ Evacuation of People and Pets with Animal Nurses ”” hosted by the Midori Ward Office.
Since it was the first lecture held by Midori Ward after COVID-19 infection lifted declaration of a state of emergency, visitors were encouraged to check their body temperature, social distance, and wear masks.
At the lecture, they talked about the message "Owner's safety is a major premise" and "Role to play as an owner" about disasters and evacuation accompanying them.
Participants are listening eagerly, and regarding pet measures in the event of a disaster, it is necessary for the community and ward offices to deepen mutual understanding between the owner and the person who does not keep them, and to work together. It was an opportunity to feel again.
Thank you to Sae Yazaki and Ryoka Tanimooka for serving as lecturers.
