[26th] Participated in a forest walk event held in Kamoi Hara Citizen's Forest
November 7, 2020
On Saturday, November 7, we were blessed with mild winter weather, and we participated in an event to enjoy a "walking in the forest" held in Kamoi Hara Citizen's Forest. Thanks to the opening of the citizen's forest and celebrating its 15th anniversary, many local and local junior high school students participated in this event. . As an infectious disease prevention measure, the route will be one-way street so that the temperature measurement at the reception and the walk will not be "closed", and each will be entered at intervals, and the members of the protection society will also be guided to various places in the forest. Various ideas were made.
I also had Mr. Yoshiyuki Sugawara, Chairman of the Protection Association, guide me through the forest. In the past, it was a forest where a lot of garbage such as old tires was illegally dumped, but due to the accumulation of activities by local people, including the members of the protection society, the devastated forest gradually regained its original appearance It seems to have gone. The names of unique paths in the forest, such as "Tireway" and "narrow road to the interior," were named by local children. I was impressed by the beauty of the forest maintained by the efforts of many people.
Every year, after cleaning activities, baked potatoes are made with sweet potatoes harvested in the field adjacent to the forest, and the participants are said to taste them together in the forest square, but this year they are distributed as souvenirs, and the participants are smiling I was taking home with I also enjoyed it at home and enjoyed sweet and relaxing sweet potatoes.
I would like to continue to work with the protection society on initiatives to pass on this lush forest to the next generation.
