We received sunflower seeds from Hara Junior High School individual support classes (May 30, 2024)
Last updated on June 3, 2024.
On Tuesday, May 28, five third-year students of Hara Junior High School Individual Support Class (9 pairs) brought seeds collected from sunflowers raised by everyone last summer.
Last year, during the summer vacation, I went to school on duty, watered, etc., and showed me photos of sunflowers that grew greatly. Some of them grew up to a height of nearly 2 meters. As we received such a cheerful sunflower seed, we plant it around the ward government building and hope that the yellow sunflower will be one of the momentum cultivation of GREEN x EXPO 2027 in the summer season. I'm really looking forward to seeing how far I will grow up.
Initially, we were planning to plant seeds with the students in the flowerbed near the ward government building, but unfortunately it was raining, so 9 groups had the seeds planted in the pot once in the ward government building, The staff of the ward replanted the buds on the flowerbed at a later date.
Nine groups of students explained how to plant and how to care for them. I was impressed by the serious thoughts that everyone carefully raised sunflowers and carefully made small bags containing 20 seeds.
On the day, Chairman Takaiwa of Neighborhood Association, Northern Akuwa Union, where Hara Junior High School is located, was also present, and the chairman planted seeds in the pot.
Since last year, the Hara Junior High School Block, which consists of Hara Junior High School, Hara Elementary School, and Mitsukyo Elementary School, has schools, homes, and communities work together to develop activities that lead to the cultivation of GREEN x EXPO 2027 momentum. We hope that everyone along the local school road will also plant sunflowers and turn the school road to yellow, so that it will be an activity that is united with the thoughts of the local people.
In addition, it is this sunflower seed, but distributes to inhabitants of a ward at the entrance on the first floor of the ward government building (distribution was finished in popularity ※ update on June 3). To enjoy the flowers in summer, it seems better to plant them by June.
We hope that this species will grow quickly and bloom large flowers toward the sun in summer. Flower language is "passion" and "ading". It's going to be hot this summer, but I'm looking forward to seeing sunflowers that match the summer.
