Futabashi Elementary School fifth grader Sekitake won the 6th Junior Champions League National Tournament U12 Men's 37.5kg class (boxing)! (February 13, 2025)
Last updated on February 13, 2025.
gaku, a fifth-year student at Futabashi Elementary School, came to the Director General Office on January 20 with the champion belt to report the 6th Junior Champions League National Convention (boxing) U12 Men's 37.5kg class on September 29 last year.
This is the second time Seki has been in the Director General Office since January 2023, when he received a report on the 8-year-old men's club at the 2022 International Friendly Karatedo Championships. The results of daily training over the past two years have been firmly demonstrated in physique.
When I told my friends in the school class that I won the championship, I was happy to say `` Congratulations '', and my friends made a banner and came to watch the game, so I was very happy and helpful I was talking about things.
Last time I was empty, and this time I was active in boxing, and I asked what kind of training I do every day. Boxing is daily, karate is 2-3 days a week, and practice time is about 2 hours a day each. In other words, he trained for about 4 hours on the day he practiced both boxing and karate.
In the future, he mainly focuses on boxing, but karate wants to acquire a black belt and continues to have bonds with friends. He told me that one of the advantages of continuing karate is that the body is less effective during boxing games.
He said that he was spending a fulfilling day, such as enjoying games, on the hard schedule of running about 4 km in about 20 minutes in the morning and studying at school and going to school. I thought that my daily efforts led to the results.
Mr. Seki has also won the U12 Men's 40kg class strongest match at the 1st Naoya Inoue Cup Junior Champions League International Friendship Tournament held on January 12.
When asked about his future goals, he told me, "I want to become a professional boxer and a world champion in the future." We look forward to your continued success in the future.
He also participated in the Seya Ward Marathon, which was held on January 26, and achieved excellent results in fifth-year elementary school boys.
Please actively challenge various sports and fulfill your dreams.
