Seya Library 40th Anniversary “Reading at Hydrangea Plaza” (February 25, 2025)

　The Seya Library, which opened in January 1985, celebrated its 40th anniversary this year. Held GREEN x EXPO 2027 As a library in the local ward, the 40th anniversary event was held with themes related to "plants" and "environment", and many inhabitants of the ward participated.
　At the event held at the end of January, everyone enjoyed the flower arrangement. Until February 11, books on the history of the Seya Library and "plants" were introduced using the space in front of the library entrance. .
　It seems that there were a lot of rentals of the books introduced, and I think that the inhabitants of the ward were very interested in the theme of GREEN x EXPO 2027. I was also interested in the book "Why is the Tokugawa family crest?" I would like to find an opportunity someday and borrow it.

　The last of the 40th anniversary event was the "Reading at Hydrangea Plaza" held at Hydrangea Plaza on the afternoon of February 16.
　The members of the "Sofia Forest" performed a realistic play by reading, and I was surprised that it was performed so dramatic with the tone of the voice and the way of speaking.
　Finally, the fairy tale read, "I am Kusunoki no Happa," was a wonderful story about Cinnamomum camphora leaves in the middle of the schoolyard, where you can feel the sense of seasons, the flow of time, and the growth of the children who grew up in the schoolyard. The author, Fumiko Fujiishi, also came on the day and was able to hear about his thoughts when he made the story.

　The Seya Library has been in operation for 40 years, but there are many wonderful books. And next year is "the year to set activity target of ward based on the third Yokohama-shi book-reading activity promotion plan (from Reiwa 6 to Reiwa 10).
