[19th] I went to mow the goat!

August 22, 2023

Last updated on December 2, 2024.

Did you know that there are two goats in Genkaida Park? The two animals named "gen" and "kai" are 6 years old males who are kept to eat grass in the park. This is an environmentally friendly weeding method that does not use a mower and does not generate CO2. Also, the steep slope where humans are difficult to cut grass is a goat.
With the cooperation of the designated manager "Green and Community Group" of Genkaida Park, "Gen" and "Kai" came to eat the grass of "Morinodai Rainwater Reservoir" close to the ward office. So, on Thursday, August 17, the first day, I went to see you immediately. It was hot, but I was healed by eating grass.
On August 19th and 20th, an event to see mowing was held nearby, and local people interacted with two animals. We want to continue to spread weeding by goats that are environmentally friendly and heal your heart.

※The goat is a member of a cow, returning the grass once swallowed to his mouth and chewing it again. This is called "rumination."
