[54th] The award ceremony for the Midori Ward Photo Contest 2023 was held.

The award ceremony for the Midori Ward Photo Contest 2023 was held at the Midori Ward Office on Monday, March 11.

This year, the theme was “Midori Ward Flowers, Greenery, and Agriculture – GREEN × EXPO 4 years until 2027 –” and 5 prizes and 14 honorable mentions were selected from the 203 works collected together with Yokohama's leading photographer Hideo Mori and Takeo Kimura, Chairman of the Midori Ward Association of Self-Government Associations.

I saw all the works in the judging, but unfortunately, all of them, including the works that were not awarded, are really beautiful, and they are surprised to say, "Is such a landscape in the city?" The inhabitants of the ward felt that each of them had their favorite places and landscapes in Midori Ward.

Along with Chairman Kimura, we were able to give a certificate of merit to the prizewinners, and we were able to hear about the episodes of shooting the work and the enthusiasm for the future. In preparation for the International Horticultural Expo to be held in Kamiseya in 2027, I was able to once again feel the charm of Midori Ward.
