[46th] The 36th Midori Ward Min, the 27th Aoba Kumin Ekiden Tournament, Midori Ward Running Festa 2023 was held!

On Saturday, December 23, the Midori Ward Min-Aoba Ward Ekiden Tournament was held at Shin-Yokohama Park (Nissan Field Koki), hosted by the Midori Ward Aoba Ward Association of Athletic Federations and the Midori Ward Aoba Ward Junior High School SportsMidori Ward.

The day was blessed with clear sunny weather with cold air like winter, and it was a great day for running.
Divided into "elementary school section", "junior high school boys section", "junior high school girls section", and "general / middle age / mixed section", nearly 600 players in total participated in a team of four, I carried a single cross (TASK) hotly.

I was a starter for the first time and saw the race up close, and I was very impressed with the energy of the players and the "bonds" of the team.

In the afternoon, the Midori Ward Running Festa 2023 (Executive Chairman: Takayuki Hirai) was held at the same venue, organized by the Executive Committee (Midori Ward Association of Athletic Federations, Midori Ward Sports Promotion Committee Liaison Council, Green Sports Center).

Approximately 100 participants, from high school students to those in their 60s, ran on the 5km course with their own power. I was also going to run, and I was worried that I could finish before the start, but with the warm support of the people along the road, I was able to run somehow.

The Panasonic Women's Athletics Club “Panasonic Angels”, which was sponsored, was attended by a total of 13 people, nine active players and two coaches and managers, each. This time, in addition to running alongside as a guest runner, they also taught me how to do gymnastics, stretching, and cool down, and the participants seemed very satisfied.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all those involved in planning and operating this tournament.
I hope that the participating players will continue to run while feeling fun.
