The people of Midori Ward, Yasuhiro Sato, who became mayor of Midori on April 1. Thank you very much.

Midori Ward was my first workplace in Yokohama in 1990, and more than thirty years have passed since then.
This time, when I went around the ward again, I was very impressed that the attractive cityscape has been inherited, such as residential areas surrounded by lush nature such as forests, rivers, and fields, and shopping streets where you can feel local contact. Was.

Over the past three years, the impact of the COVID-19 has forced us to restrict local activities in various fields, including the Neighborhood Association activities, but from now on, new initiatives to create connections and unique activities that will rejuvenate the region.

The ward office will work together to promote measures and businesses so that Midori Ward can become “a town that wants to live and continues to live” toward the realization of “Yokohama, a town that nurtures the next generation of children,” as set forth in the Yokohama Medium-Term Plan.
The GREEN x EXPO 2027 (2027 International Horticultural Expo), which will be held in 2027, will also work together to further develop Midori Ward. Thank you very much.
