It was June 10 that I participated in rice planting in Tandoda, located in the back of Shinji Citizen's Forest. Approximately four months later, the fruitful autumn has come, and volunteers from the Shinji Yata Preservation Association have received information on rice harvesting, and participated in the Tando Rice Harvesting on Saturday, September 30. did.

This rice field in the back of Tando was revived by the ward office and local volunteers to preserve the landscape and ecosystem of satoyama, where farmers were unable to cultivate due to their elderly age.

Despite the effects of the rain the day before, the water in the rice field was drained, but the rice was harvested in a rather muddy state. The work of cutting rice, putting the cut bundles together with straw, and hanging them on the "haza" shows that muscles that are not used on a daily basis due to considerable labor gradually screaming.

Small children also participated in rice harvesting with their father and mother. He held a bunch of heavy rice firmly, carried it to a place with the "haza", and hung it on the "haza" with the help of a volunteer. You may have realized that the seedlings planted by your own hands grew brilliantly and became golden rice ears.

According to the volunteer, 3200 rice bowls of rice will be a bowl of rice, but 3200 rice can be obtained from two rice ears.
