50.It's almost complete! "Hashigiwa Bridge" of Akuwa River is new!

Last updated on July 21, 2022.

State of construction

Rivers of various sizes, such as the Sakaigawa River and the Izumi River, flow through Izumi Ward.
One of them, the Akuwa River, flows through the northeastern part of Izumi Ward, is a second-class river that joins the Kashio River around Kamiyabe, Totsuka-ku, with the headwater around Mitsubai, Seya-ku. The other day, I visited the replacement work of the Hashigiwa Bridge in the Akuwa River.

The replacement work was underway, but a new bridge bridge is finally scheduled to be completed in August.
The length of the bridge is 13.1m, and the standard effective width of the bridge extends to 5.0m. At the time of the old bridge, cars could not pass each other, but new bridges could pass each other.
On the base of the bridge, reinforcing bars are woven on a basket, and a pile filled with concrete is embedded deep to about 40m underground, supporting the bridge firmly.

The construction of the bridge bridge will be completed soon, but river renovation work will still continue.
We hope that each business and approach will lead to the safety and security of everyone living in the community.
