　On February 5 (Sun), the 36th Izumi Ward Ekiden Tournament was held in Izumi Yusuichi 4 ponds for the first time in three years under the clear and clear sky without wind. The number of participating teams was reduced to 53 teams, about half of the previous fiscal year in 2019, but it was divided into four divisions (elementary school students, junior high school students, girls, general departments) to connect and compete. Was.
　After the opening ceremony, 16 teams of "elementary school students" started. There were various members from teams that seemed to be early in the upper grades to energetic teams mainly in the lower grades, but all teams demonstrated their full potential, completed the course of 2 km per lap per person, and all teams firmly connected. The police department Izumi team, who helped manage the tournament, also participated in the general section. Unfortunately, we missed the championship, but we had a good time with the local people.
