51.I visited the 41st Izumino Summer Festival in the northern part of Izumi!
July 23 is the first Saturday when elementary and junior high schools enter summer vacation. On this day, the 41st Izumino Summer Festival was held at Izumino Elementary School.
This festival is held annually by an executive committee established mainly by Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations in the northern part of Izumi.
However, due to the influence of COVID-19 infection, the last two years were canceled, three years ago due to stormy weather, and this year was the first time in four years.
In order to prevent infection, it is usually limited to one day for two days, refrain from providing food and drink at stalls, etc., and only Bon Odori is implemented. In addition, at the entrance, temperature measurement and alcohol disinfection were installed, and I think that the executive committee and officers had more trouble than usual.
The officers were worried, "There are no stalls that the children are looking forward to, how much will they gather?", But at 5:00 in the evening when Bon Odori begins, many children and local people gather and dance circles can be double or triple around the tower. It was a summer festival that gave me a lot of energy, with the happy faces of the relieved officers, the children dancing happily with smiles, and the local people.
