93.The New Year's card contest was awarded.

Last updated on March 16, 2023.

The “New Year's Card Contest” was held for elementary school students in the city, hosted by the Izumi Post Office, and visited two elementary schools that received the Izumi Mayor's Award and awarded a certificate.
In the New Year's card contest, we evaluated the message and originality and selected the Director General Prize, etc., from the viewpoint of the selection of the award, to convey our thoughts on the New Year's card as a message. This is the third time this year, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I was unable to give a certificate to elementary school, so I was able to give a certificate directly to elementary school student, who was awarded this year.
The work awarded in the lower grades is a very original and heartwarming New Year's card in which the rice cake eaten during the New Year becomes a "Nobitto" adorable rabbit. It was a picture that was rich in imagination and made me feel. It is a work of a third-year student at Shimbashi Elementary School, but this New Year's card was addressed to the teacher in charge. I'm really happy if I got such a New Year's card.
The fifth grader of Shimoizumi Elementary School won the award in the upper grades section. He made a New Year's card with the eraser stamp I learned in the drawing class. It is very impressive to see the adorable rabbit sticking rice cake. He said he actually gave it to grandpa and grandma, and he was very pleased.
In this contest, there were 874 entries from all 15 elementary schools in the city. Thank you very much to all the elementary school students who applied. Next year, please make a nice New Year's card and post it.
