Other services in The Long-term Care Insurance (home care, day care, etc.) cannot be provided only by businesses designated by prefectures and municipalities (designated home service providers).
However, there are no designated establishments for housing renovation. For this reason, any business operator can provide services (construction).
In addition, the target construction is defined for housing renovation. In the case of construction other than this scope, housing renovation costs will not be paid and will be borne by 100%.
If you are not sure whether the construction will be eligible for The Long-term Care Insurance benefits, please contact Insurance and Pension Division National Health Insurance Section, the ward office in your ward before starting construction.
