Could you tell me how to do Seal Registration on your behalf?

Please report to the ward office of your ward office. ※You cannot submit a report at the Administrative Service Corner.
Please bring your identity verification materials from private seal, power of attorney and proxy/agent to register. (The power of attorney is handwritten by the person himself. Please refer to the following website for details.
There are two methods for Seal Registration:

1. Document Inquiry Method

After the reception, an inquiry will be sent to the person by mail from the ward office. You will be asked to seal your Address, name and registered private seal on your inquiry, and return to the agency again.

※Depending on postal circumstances, it may take a few days (about one week) to register, so please allow enough time for the procedure.

2. Guarantor method

If the person who is in Seal Registration writes Address, name and date of birth in the warranty section of the Seal Registration application form and seals the registered private seal, Seal Registration will do so on the same day. However, proxy/agent cannot serve as guarantors. If the guarantor is registered as a resident outside of Yokohama, you must attach a Seal Registration Certificate within three months after issuance.
