How do I apply for a new issuance or renewal of digital certificates for under 15 years of age or an adult ward?

legal representative must apply for new issuance or renewal of digital certificates for user certification for persons under 15 years of age or adult ward.
Digital certificates for signatures are not issued in principle, but are issued only when an adult ward and his legal representative have applied together at the counter.

Window Reception hours

Ward Office

  • Weekday 8:45 am to 5:00 pm
  • 2nd and 4th Saturday: From 9:00 a.m. to noon
  • Weekdays (Monday, Tuesday, Friday): 11:30 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.
  • Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays: 9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

※Closed on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday the next day on the third Saturday.

Rice cake

  • My Number Card for an adult ward under 15 years of age or an adult ward
  • Identity verification documents with a photo issued by a government office in legal representative
  • Documents confirming that it is legal representative
    • Those under 15 years of age (*): family register Certificate of All Matters
    • Adult ward: Adult Guardian Registration Certificate

※family register may not be required when applying for a digital certificate for those under the age of 15. If you do not need it, it is as follows.

  • If your permanent domicile is in Yokohama City
  • In the case of same household in resident certificate, a person under the age of 15 and his legal representative come together.

PIN

The PIN of your My Number Card will be checked at the counter, so please check in advance.

  • For Basic Resident Register: 4 digits
  • For digital certificates for user certification: 4 digits
  • For digital certificates for signature: Mixed alphanumeric characters 6 to 16 digits (when performing procedures)
