Procedures for resident certificate when moving out of Yokohama are (notification of transfer)
When moving out of Yokohama, you need to submit a transfer notice at the ward office Family Registry Division window in your ward office.
In addition, we do not handle in city hall, administrative service corner.
Please submit the transfer notice before or after moving in, in anticipation of the transfer notification period in the new Address municipalities (14 days from the date of transfer).
We issue transference certificate after transference notice, but, when my number card or Basic Resident Register card owner moves out, we may omit grant of transference certificate.
You can also submit a transfer notice online or by mail.
※For inquiries regarding the notification of change of residents, please contact the ward office Family Registry Division.
