Is it possible to renew the digital certificate even after the renewal deadline?

The renewal procedure is possible after the expiration date. However, please note that you will not be able to use it as a digital certificate after the renewal deadline (expiration date of the digital certificate).
Renewal procedures for digital certificates require reservations at some counters. Please make a reservation based on the reservation ID described in the "Expiration Notice" that arrives about 3 months before the expiration date, and come. If you live in a ward that does not require a reservation, please come directly to the ward office.

You can also apply at the My Number Card Special Center (reservation required) that has jurisdiction over your ward. About jurisdiction ward, please see page of my number card special center.

If you receive an expiration date notice in a blue envelope (Sender: Yokohama City) and wish to apply at the My Number Card Special Center, the reservation method will be different from usual. Specifically, please see page about new issuance, update of digital certificate of my number card.

• Weekday 8:45 am to 5:00 pm
• 2nd and 4th Saturday: From 9:00 a.m. to noon

• Monday, Tuesday, Friday (excluding holidays): 11:30 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.
• Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays: 9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

My Number Card only

The following three types of passwords will be checked at the counter, so please check in advance.

• Basic Resident Register (4 digits)
• Digital certificate for user certification (4 digits)
• Digital certificate for signature (mixed alphanumeric characters 6 to 16 digits)
