How do you check the former permanent domicile (such as family register at the time of child birth and family register before marriage)?
Last updated on October 27, 2021.
When carrying out procedures such as inheritance, the family register that we have been using since the time of child birth may prove the status of changes in the status of persons who need certification (such as marriage or adoption).
If you don't know the permanent domicile of family register and the first person you were using as a proof, you will be asked to check the permanent domicile of family register and the first person you used beforefamily register, based on thefamily register you are currently using.
(When requesting the relevant family register after confirming the permanent domicile and the first person, please refer to the items related to the request for the family register Certificate of All Matters (certified copy) or Certificate of Exclusion (certified copy).)
The description of the items described in family register may differ depending on the status of the items reported.
For more information, please contact the ward office Family Registry Division Family Registry Section.
