Yokohama Noh-theater illustration

Go up Momijizaka near Sakuragicho Station and turn right on the side of Kanagawa Pref. Concert Hall to see Mt. Kamon Park, one corner of which is Yokohama Noh-theater.
A full-fledged Noh stage at Nariyasu Maeda's residence in feudal lord, the former Kaga Domain (Ishikawa Prefecture) in Negishi, Tokyo, was moved to this area in 1996.
You can visit the hall when there are no performances or events of Noh and kyogen. In the exhibition corridor on the second floor, there are instruments such as large drums and flutes, luxurious Noh costumes, Noh masks, and song books.
You can see Noh theater from the highlights of the second floor. It is a wonderful stage where you can feel the history of traditional Japanese performing arts. I remember seeing kyogen for the first time in a school auditorium when I was in junior high school. Now you can see Noh and kyogen on a full-fledged stage.
While sketching Noh theater with permission, I heard the voice of a song and the sound of a drum from the training room at the back. I really wanted to see Noh and kyogen on this stage.
