My nearest station. Nishi-Yokohama Station opened from the Atsugi area in 1929 (Showa 4). The Hashigami station building was built in 1964 (Showa 39), and in 2005 (Heisei 17), it became a smart station building.
Trains such as the Sagami Railway Line, JR Tokaido Line, and JR Yokosuka Line run continuously under the overpass. When I was sketching, I heard the child's voice saying, "Bah-I, B-I!" A boy is greeting the train. Perhaps they knew there were children, and some trains responded by whistles.
Until when I became an adult, there was no Hashigami station, and there was a railroad crossing here. From the Fujidana area, there was a station on the other side of the railroad crossing, and sometimes I had to wait for a long time for the railroad crossing to open.
There was a policeman at the railroad crossing, and when the train passed, he was waving a white flag to confirm safety. It reminds me of the beautiful and old scenery.
