Kisha-Michi Promenade illustration

From Sakuragicho Station, go to the Minatomirai district side and cross the Sakuragicho-sta. and Nippon Maru intersection to the entrance of Kisha-Michi Promenade. In 1997, the abandoned railway line was reborn as a walking path.
The original railway line opened from the first Yokohama Station to Shinkofuto in 1911 (Meiji 44), and part of the harbor line where steam locomotives ran around. It is said that he sometimes carried the passengers.
At the Yokohama Exposition held in 1989, a retro train ran to Yamashita Park and gained popularity.
When I was a high school student, I remember walking along the abandoned track with an adventure. The traces of the tracks are left on the walking path.
In Kisha-Michi Promenade, Nishi Ward is in the middle of the Bankkyo Bridge and the truss Bridge port No. 1 beam. Whenever you go there, the view of Minato Mirai from the bridge is wonderful. Kisha-Michi Promenade enters Naka Ward, crosses Port No. 2 and Port No. 3 bridge beams to Akarengasoko.
