JR Yokohama Station Statue of a Little Girl With Red Shoes On

Statue of a Little Girl With Red Shoes On is located in the center of the large central passage connecting East Exit and West Exit at JR Yokohama Station. This is a 26-cm-high replica bronze statue of a girl, based on the lyrics of the famous nursery rhyme "Red Shoe (Ujo Noguchi lyrics)" in Yamashita Park.
It's a small statue, but with a little tilted and smiling, with a very cute look. There are lights that resemble gas lamps on both sides, which are used by a large number of people as a waiting area at Yokohama Station.
The statue of this girl was donated by a civic group and was placed at the south exit of Yokohama Station in 1982 (Showa 57) and used as a waiting place, but was removed and stored during the improvement work at the station. The central passage was completed and installed in 2010 (Heisei 22), and the waiting area for the female statue was revived for the first time in 20 years.
There will be a lot of dramas that will be born after waiting here.
