There is Sugiyama Shrine next to Nishi Ward Office. It is said to have been founded in 652 ( 3) and is also called "Hama no Daikoku-sama". Three years ago, shrine hall was renovated, and the pillars were painted in vermilion to become beautiful.
When you enter the grounds where the trees are thriving, there is a "Gojinki" on the left, and a pair of rare stone-making "Kokoma Rat" stands in front of shrine hall. Turn the rotating pedestal and make a wish. The religion of the people around the area, which has developed as a common town, is still strong.
When I was a child, the festival was very busy with many children. Stalls such as scooping goldfish lined up on both sides of the road from the main street and on the grounds, and there was also a hut in the back that showed unusual things. There was a shop selling "wooden folding magnifier" that allows you to draw portraits from photos. The actor, Kan's "Kurama " was exactly depicted. I bought it. Now I'm drawing a caricature at work, but that's the starting point.
