It's new! Nishi Ward Tekuteku Sketch: 64th Hiranuma Gas Holder

If you walk along the JR and other tracks from the south exit of Hiranumabashi Station on the Sagami Railway Line, you can see four light green "Hiranuma Gas Holders" over the tracks. In the past, it was called a gas tank, but it is officially called a gas holder.
Cross the overpass of Hiranuma Nino Hashimoto, a little further away, go up to the rooftop of the Hiranuma Pumping Station in front of tvk Housing Plaza Yokohama, and go to Hiranuma Sawayaka Park at the back of Hiranuma Meeting House. Opening hours are 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on weekdays and Saturday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday and holidays, and the fourth Monday is closed. I will sketch at this rooftop park.
It is impressive because four units are adjacent to each other, such as a huge ball holder with a diameter of about 35m and a capacity of 200,000m3 of Tokyo Gas. When I was a child, it was a cylindrical gas holder. From 1968 (Showa 43), it was rebuilt from a cylindrical type to a current ball type. From here, gas is being distributed to all households in Yokohama.
Under the sight of the gas holder and the Landmark Plaza Shopping Center, the children are playing around.
